Zhongruan

The ruan solo repertoire belongs to the zhongruan and the daruan, and in an ensemble the middle voice is written for the zhongruan, so a first ruan usually starts here. Wood is the clearest divide: rosewood for a beginner, elm and lihuamu in the middle, suanzhi denser and more focused. Do not skip past the used instruments either, since a top that has been played for years has already opened up, and the older plain-made pieces and the second-hand Dunhuang come to us in sound condition.
