The Chinese Musicians Association (CMA for short) is a professional organization of musicians in China, its members being chiefly music workers from mainland China; it is also a member of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and of the International Music Council. The association was founded in July 1949, originally named the All-China Music Workers Association. It now oversees 36 group members (provincial-level music associations) and more than 13,000 individual members.
