This is a live recording of the concert "Listening to Yue—Yeung Wai-kit, Sha Jingshan, and the Guangdong National Orchestra" (abbreviated as "Listening to Yue"), performed on April 8, 2022 in the symphonic concert hall of the Xinghai Concert Hall in Guangzhou, published and distributed by the China Record Group. The concert showcased the fruits of this performing couple's (Yeung Wai-kit and Sha Jingshan) ongoing musical exploration, with the renowned conductor Hou Danping leading the accompanying Guangdong National Orchestra.

According to the performers, "Listening to Yue" carries multiple meanings. The literal interpretation could be "listening to Cantonese music," but they prefer "listening to the sounds from Guangdong." This is the music of Guangdong, and also music performed and composed by people of Guangdong. "Between the two of us, Yeung Wai-kit was born in Hong Kong, with ancestral roots in Chaoshan, and in recent years has developed his musical career in Guangzhou; Sha Jingshan is a native-born Guangzhou local. Through this album, we hope to share our compositions and performances with our listeners, and to use music to express what is in our hearts."
