A renowned yangqin (Chinese hammered dulcimer) performer and holder of a master's degree from the Central Conservatory of Music. Born in 1965 in Yiyang, Hunan. She is currently a professor in the Folk Music Department of the Central Conservatory of Music, Vice President of the China Yangqin Society, and an Honorary Professor at Volyn National University in Ukraine, among other positions. She has served as a visiting professor at the University of Michigan (USA), the National Music Academy of Ukraine, and the National Music Academy of the Czech Republic. She entered the Middle School affiliated with the Central Conservatory of Music in 1977, graduated in 1987 with top honors, and has remained on its teaching staff ever since. She studied under professors Gui Xili, Xiang Zuhua, Li Xiangting, and Dr. Imre Hamar. In 1994 she received a Master of Arts degree from the Central Conservatory of Music, and in 2008 she received a Doctor of Philosophy degree from Eötvös Loránd University in Hungary.

Her body of work is substantial: ten albums, including "Ballad of Mulan Variations" and "Butterfly Qin Rhymes"; eleven books, including "Foundational Course in Yangqin Playing"...
