Compiled by Ma Yun, a young dizi-and-xiao performer, solo player with the China National Traditional Orchestra, member of the China Nationalities Orchestra Society, director of the China Bamboo Flute Committee, and recipient of the Ministry of Culture's "Wenhua Award."

This work is divided into five volumes: "Zero Foundation," "Techniques," "Études," "Ensemble Pieces," and "Solo Pieces."

Volume One, "Zero Foundation," emphasizes the standardization of foundational study. It anticipates and summarizes the problems beginners may encounter, and designs corresponding exercise segments targeting key points and difficulties, realizing "notation-based" exercise content. Breaking out of the traditional teaching framework, with features such as finely subdivided knowledge structures, prominently highlighted exercise focal points, and practical music-theory knowledge inserted in real time, it ensures the scientific soundness of the content and the accessibility of the language, strengthens students' mastery of key and difficult content, and is better suited to letting complete beginners learn with ease.
